ELCLC MIS

ELCLCs are computer and language learning centers that have been established at public universities throughout Afghanistan by the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.

ELCLCs help Afghan university students and faculty improve their English proficiency through open-access and instructor-led courses using the latest off-the-shelf and tailored software, curricula, and web-based resources. The centers also help advance computer competencies for university students and staff through their computer training courses. There are currently eleven ELCLCs at 9 universities across Afghanistan.

Solution

On 19-Sep-2018 Impact Organization entered into a contract with Saawis for the development of an online MIS for managing the ELCLC centers.

5. Teacher/staff daily attendance
6. Payroll system based on teacher/staff attendance.
7. Budget and expense management system.
8. Notice board
9. Inventory management system to keep track of all the center and organization assets.

impact

The MIS helped the impact organization successfully implement the program in 9 centers and expand to two new universities.

 - 14000+ applications registered.
 - 3000+ students admitted.
- 2000+ students completed the program.

Mr.Rohullah Balkhi the ELCLC program manager said "we had no clear blueprint in the beginning but the Saawis team thoroughly helped us to identify our nitty-gritty details and functionality of the MIS and developed a seamless, easy, smooth and functional system."
